FAROE FRIDAY: FISHING FRACAS
This week's bit of Faroese news comes via fishupdate.com, my only source of online fish news. The Faroe Islands have been asked to stop cod fishing by the International Council on the Exploration of the Seas (ICES) until the fish population can rebound.
This week's Faroe photos are of the village of Sumba. The top photo was uploaded to a Faroe Islands Facebook group by this guy. I don't know anything about him. But he may live on the Faroes. The lower picture comes from faroeislands.dk. They're a great online resource.
But about Sumba. It's the southernmost village on the Faroes and about 250 people live there. It was one of the more isolated villages on the islands until a tunnel blasted through a mountain connected it to the larger road system. There may have been a village on the site since the 7th century AD. That, my friends, is old.

OK, someone better cough up said picture to show this. Bryan was there June 4th. However, how he could stay a few extra days is beyond me as June 6th and 7th, he did concerts in Norway.
So if this is true, someone better post something somewhere as proof!
I'm frightened that someone (anyone) knows Bryan Adams' tour schedule...
As a member of his fanclub, I have access to the backstage area of his site, which includes his tour diary.
Besides, his concert schedule is posted on both his website and his MySpace site.
Can't you add? If he has a show in the Faroes on the 4th, and his next gig is in Norway in the 6th, he could easily spend two extra days on the islands if he wanted to. It's not like he's walking to Norway.
"A few extra days" implies more than 2 days. We're waiting for Bryan to finish his tour diary entries for the 6th and 7th to see what he has to say.
I still say, if it happened, cough up the photo!
Actually "a few" can mean 2 or 3. "Several" usually implies three or more.
But if you want to see the photo, please make note of the next post titled: "Bryan Adams Pissing: Documentary Evidence." It's been up since the 14th.
